My Review of Blackened Heart by Glenna Maynard---4.5 stars out of 5

Glenna does it again!!! I will admit that Glenna is one of my favorite authors, but she really kicked ass on this one.  Okay, I'm still Team Jaxson and feel so bad that he keeps getting screwed over. If you thought you hated Sadie in Beautiful Strangers then you are seriously going to want to hurt her for what she does to Jaxson in this Novella. The book left me with my mouth hanging open, and wanting more of Jaxson. It was not nearly enough for me to feel complete with his story. I seriously hope it continues on....just when you think it is going one direction Glenna completely takes it to a whole new route. Leaving you saying WTF just happened...lol Keep it up Glenna and hope to see more of Jaxson...hint...hint :)

My review for Ambrosia by Erin Noelle--4 stars out of 5

First of all I would like to say that Erin Noelle is awesome. I'm sure this book was hard for her to write knowing the direction may cause some fans to be pissed off. I cried off and on through the book for Scarlett, Mason, and Max. But in all honesty I cried the most for Mason. I'm sure you can see that I'm Team Mason. I understand their is a connection between Scarlett and Ash, but there is something I feel is missing when they are together. They may be soul mates but something about her and Mason is magical. Oh God don't get me started on her and Max. My heart broke for him as well. He was in so much pain and just wanted some type of connection with Evie and Scarlett was there. I could have hit her upside the head for doing what she did to Max. He didn't deserve that. Then I was screaming at Scarlett when she left Mason without talking to him to find out what really happened between him and Bentley. She knew that Bentley was a conniving bitch. To just get up and just freakin leave before they even talked was one of the stupidest thing she has done. See how I mentioned just one...lol For her to whine about Mason choosing his music first over her. Uh hello???? He was a musician when she met him. What did she want? Mason to just sit around and not go after his dream while she was pursing her dream. He never asked her to drop out of school. So what the hell!!! Mason was doing everything he could to keep them together, while he was away. At this point, Scarlett doesn't deserve Mason. She completely broke him by leaving him and then he even tried begging her back. God I cried for him. Scarlett was so mean to him and said horrible things to him, and this is even after she slept with Max. She had no right to treat him like that after everything he did for her. He took her back with open arms, and treated her like a princess. After the argument with Scarlett and him, devastated him,but the thought of losing her made him grovel and say he could forgive her. FORGIVE HER??!!!!! FORGIVE HER!!! SHE SLEPT WITH MAX BEFORE OFFICIALLY BREAKING UP WITH MASON!!! THEN RUNS BACK TO ASH! RIGHT AFTER SHE SLEPT WITH MAX...WTF!! I've had it with her. She has caused so much destruction while she is supposedly discovering herself. Oh please...that is not an excuse. The ending kind of threw me off and gave me some hope that she may get back with Mason. However, it leaves me torn because even though I'm Team Mason, I don't really want them to be together but then I do...so see it tears me apart. Scarlett broke him twice, and he still would forgive her. I cried for about 5 minutes when I finished the book, and now I want to put the whole experience behind me. I'm heartbroken for Mason, and anybody who has ever had their heart broken should know exactly how Mason feels right now.  Okay I'm done :)

My Review for A Wedding in Valentine by Emma Crane//4 stars out of 5

This was an adorable love story, and I wish it was a little bit longer.  I know it was a novella but it still left me wanting more.  Heather Armstrong goes to a small town called Valentine to help an old friend, Emily Murphy with her wedding.  When she meets Emily at the airport she is very surprised to find out that Emily's brother is Chris Sweet, a man she met several months ago and had a weekend fling with and never heard from him again.  Chris is just as surprised as Heather to find out Heather is Emily's best friend.  At first they play it off as if they don't know each other but eventually discuss the elephant in the room.  They were both upset with each other because one was expecting the other to call but never did.  Apparently Heather left her number the morning she left but Chris never found it.  He assumed she just left without saying goodbye.  Oh at first when he sees her and they are alone he treats very rudely.  However, they eventually talk it out and discovered that they both still have a strong attraction to one another.  The only problem they both encounter is to keep Emily from finding out they know each other especially since it is on her wedding weekend.  Heather doesn't want her to find out that Chris is the guy she had the weekend fling with, and ruin Emily's special wedding weekend.  Chris agrees to play it cool and act like they just met and that they are just getting to know one another for the first time.  Since, the town is so small people start to talk and wonder.  It's hard to keep secrets in a small community, which is a little funny to see how nosy some of the towns people are.  I love Heather and Chris together and wished the book was longer, but it was worth it.  Such a sweet story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

About the Author

Emma Cane was born in Erie, a small Pennsylvania town on beautiful Lake Erie, where the sunsets are some of the best in the world. Though Emma enjoyed figure skating and skiing (good sports in the northeast), she brought a book everywhere she went, usually science fiction and fantasy. Yes, Emma was a Trekkie. Early in her teen years, she decided maybe she could be a writer, and wrote passionate stories of teenagers in space, first by hand until her fingers cramped, and then on her dad’s manual typewriter, that she still can’t bear to give away. In high school she discovered historical romances, starting with Kathleen Woodiwiss’s Shanna, and Emma never looked back. The first romance she ever tried to write was a historical Western, but now she’s changed to the 21st century, where cowboys can ride pickup trucks as well as horses. Emma fell in love with small-town, heartwarming stories, and created the fictional town Valentine Valley, a small ranching community in the Colorado Rockies, where she sets her novels. A Town Called Valentine was the first in her new series. True Love at Silver Creek Ranch followed in January 2013. Her first novella, A Wedding in Valentine, came out in June 2013.

Emma always wanted a career. She determined she wouldn’t be good at the family business, funeral directing, mainly because a funeral director is a social creature, out in society, joining lots of committees and being involved in the community. She likes to pick and choose her committees (she's served in almost every capacity in her local writers' group) She especially enjoys being at home in the evenings, her face buried in a book. When she went to college, Emma figured it might be difficult to earn a living writing, so she tried many different jobs. After majoring in aerospace engineering and taking all her electives in English, she realized writing was her future. While she learned her craft and raised her children, she worked several jobs, from fitness training to programming computer-controlled machines. She joined her local chapter of Romance Writers of America, found her best friends, and with their help, sold her manuscript to Avon Books. At last, writing has become her full-time career.

Now that her three children are grown, Emma loves spending time crocheting and singing (although not necessarily at the same time), and hiking and snowshoeing alongside her husband Jim and two rambunctious dogs Uma and Apollo.

Emma also writes as USA Today Bestselling historical romance author Gayle Callen.
