I really liked this book. It had humor in it but it also had romance.
Gabby is such a character. The way she would talk to herself would
crack me up. There was no denying there was some chemistry between her
and Braden in the court room. It was funny how Braden would challenge
her and poor Gabby..lol She was a public defense attorney that had the
funniest clientele. It seemed like all her cases were always so goofy
and she had to go to court and act tough while building a legitimate
defense. There are a few scenes where she has to present her case to
the juror and judge, and she herself didn't even actually believe her
client was innocent. Braden could see how she struggled with this and
liked to toy with her in the court room. Gabby's best friend Jess is
the one that starts pushing Gabby and Braden to go out. Somehow she
agreed to go out with him while she was drunk, and they were all at a
bar on a Friday night celebrating their case wins. Freakin hilarious!!
Braden and Gabby try to start off slow but it really is a whirlwind
relationship. I believe there is another one coming after this and I
can't wait. I would love to see how Braden and Gabby handle their
relationship. This was a quick read for me and worth every minute of
it.
