Some facts about Justine Dell author of All American Girl

Ah, what is it we women love so much about romances? Well I for one love the romance. The knowing that the guy and girl will go through a journey, build a relationship, come together and get ripped apart, finally ending up in that important happily ever after.
I seriously just swoon thing about a sweet romance. And the GUYS. We LOVE the guys! The hero’s are what make us drool, what make us flip those pages…because We. Love. The. Men.
It’s no wonder romance is the best-selling genre. It makes us feel empowered, important, loved, and beautiful. Even when the story isn’t about us. It’s a beautiful roller coaster of emotions. It’s also why I write romance. I love bringing two people together, building their relationship (or fixing one they had), tossing a few problems in the mix and watching them grow, blossom, fall in love.
In celebration of the release of my newest romance, All-American Girl, I would love to share with you my top 5 (ok, top 6) romance movies. In no particular order ;-)
1. When Harry Met Sally. This movie is a classic! It’s one of those that make you realize what real people go through in their quest to find love. That one partner that is just right for them.

2. Pretty Woman. Another fav! (Well, these are all favs, lol). This movie is the perfect example of those late 80’s (early 90’s) movies that we STILL love today. Another classic. And who doesn’t love Richard Gere???
3. How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days. One, I am a HUGE fan of both of the main characters. Two, they are HILARIOUS together (they did Fools Gold together, too). Three, this story gets inside the heads of both guys and girls, showing us what we are capable of to get what we want.

4. The Wedding Planner. Another movie with Matthew McConaughey. *shocker* I think this story is wonderful because it handles certain aspects of their love story so beautifully. I mean, the hero was engaged when he met the heroine. That’s touchy! But this movie pulls it off, and with some laughs!

5. Never Been Kissed. Ok, so I’m obsessed with Michael Vartan. I mean. HOTNESS.  If I had never been kissed, I would most certainly want this to be guy who took care of that for me!
6. The Proposal. This movie is like my ultimate favorite for so many reasons. One, Ryan Reynolds. Two, Ryan Reynolds. Three, RYAN REYNOLDS. Forget what I said about Michael Vartan in #5.  I need to write a romance for the sole purpose of casting him as the lead. *swoon*  And he’s SO good in this movie. So adorable and clueless. And Sandra Bullock pulls of that bitchy boss like no-one’s business! And you can’t lose when you toss Betty White into the mix. Oh, and Ryan Reynolds. Instant classic.
And there you have my list! It’s a good one, yes? Do you have any favorite romance movies/books that you think about/watch over and over? Maybe one day someone will look back on one of my books and think as fondly of them as I do of these movies. ;-)
