Book Blurb:
Wyatt Conner is a hard man. A sixth generation sheriff in his hometown of Garnet. A former MMA fighter. His life is about following the rules and making sure everyone else in Garnet follows them too.
Before life hurt him, Wyatt was different. Love had once blinded him to his upbringing and made him defiant against anyone who tried to separate him from the girl he loved. He easily broke laws to ensure her safety.
When she left it destroyed him.
Now she's back.
Tabitha knew coming home was a mistake, but family obligation demanded it. She wasn’t expecting to run smack into the love of her life the same day she returned.
Despite the danger, Tabitha is powerless against the wild rush of desire that explodes between them the moment she finds herself in Wyatt’s arms again. She needs a second chance too, but she can't risk Wyatt finally discovering the real reason she left.
Even for another taste of true love.
Tabitha knows her haunted past will destroy both of them if Wyatt finds out. What she suffered through was too terrible and it's the one thing that will have him crossing the line for revenge.

MY REVIEW 5 STARS OUT OF 5
When I started reading this book I got the feeling that I knew the characters.  After two chapters it finally clicked.  I read the first book Defying the Odds and that one was really good.  The second book is Star-Crossed which is the one I missed and didn’t read before Crossing the Line.  But I definitely will because it is about Jules and her love interest is named Romeo…LOL  I forgot about this one but now I can’t wait.

Crossing the Line is actually a heartbreaking story of sacrifice.  The story is about Wyatt and Tabitha.  Wyatt was in love with Tabitha since they were in grade school.  He never stopped pursuing her and he always knew they would end up together.  I love Wyatt and his love for Tabitha at such a young age and then you will love the relationship he has with is twin Jules.  She can steal the spotlight because that girl is something else.  Unfortunately, Tabitha had a hard life and didn’t grow up in a house hold that was loving or safe.  Her mother was a drunk and her brother was a jerk who physically abused her all the time.  She was scared to go home because of him.

In the beginning of the book it starts off where Tabitha returns to town after being gone 13 years.  She hasn’t spoken to Wyatt who was her only love and husband at the time she left.  A traumatic experience happened to Tabitha and in order to save Wyatt’s life Tabitha leaves without any reason why.  Wyatt is heartbroken and doesn’t understand.  He knows something happened but doesn’t know what.  It is so heartbreaking to see how much he struggles with this.  The man absolutely loved Tabitha but sadly he always held out hope that she would return back to him.  Everybody told him to move on but he just couldn’t.  What is more impressive is that Wyatt was never with another woman because he was still legally married to Tabitha and his heart was still with her.  13 freakin years without any SEX!!!!  OMG..travesty.

Tabitha did return back but not for him.  Her mother is sick and she comes to take care of her for a while and secretly hopes to avoid Wyatt.  However, her first day in town they see each other.  There are so many questions and answers that they both want to tell each other but as soon as they see each other their love sparked again.  It never died and the connection between them is very powerful.

Eventually they do re-unite but they never discuss the reasons for her departure.  Wyatt is desperate to keep her and not lose her again and he thinks by avoiding the whole situation they can make it work.  This only works for a few months and eventually everything starts coming back to Tabitha.  There are things Wyatt suspects happened to Tabitha but doesn’t know for sure.  After the truth comes out the one thing Tabitha tried so hard to prevent tears Wyatt apart.  You have to read to find out what happens but it is so worth it.   I would recommend this book and be prepared to fall in love with Wyatt from the time he is a kid to the time he is an adult.  He is so cute with the way he admits he loves Tabitha and they were only in grade school.  He was relentless and so adorable…..Don’t miss out on this wonderful book which is currently available to buy.

EXCERPT
(18 year old Wyatt and Tabitha)
“Let’s talk ’bout you and me instead. Are you going to prom with me?”

“No.”

“Maybe I need to convince you.” Wyatt leaned down and buried his face in the curve of her neck. His breath was warm, his voice husky. “’Cause I wanna take my girl to one dance before school’s done forever.”

His tongue darted out, licking at the tender skin behind her ear. The rush had Tabitha closing her eyes. She sagged against the door, but he held her there, his strong arms wrapping around her as he pressed, soft reverent kisses against her neck.

“Oh God.” She moaned, knowing he heard the defeat in her voice because he pushed in closer, forcing his powerful body tighter against hers. She threaded her fingers into his hair and held his head there. “Wy.”

“Tell me you’ll go to prom.”

She used her hold on his hair to tug him back instead; then she stood on her toes and tilted her head back in an offer he took. She gasped against his lips when he kissed her, hard and possessive, forcing her to part to him when his tongue pushed into her mouth. The pleasure felt like liquid fire that slipped into her veins like a drug.

She never understood her mother’s constant need for the next drink until Wyatt kissed her for the first time on the side of road at the start of ninth grade. Since then she’d been chasing the white dragon every chance she had, regardless of common sense that told her she was falling farther down a black hole that would ruin both of them when they hit bottom.

Her mother had Jack Daniels.

Her brother had drugs.

Tabitha had Wyatt Conner.
